Real Madrid Future is in safe hands-- Is Marco Asensio the biggest talent in spain??
last time i promise to write about Real Madrid Youngsters their best & weakness
Chapter -1
Marco Asensio Williemsen
Age :- 20 years
Playing position :- Attacking Midfielder / Winger
“He’s the biggest talent in Spain. He has a lot of quality, but it’s not my decision if he’s in the Madrid first team.” - Del Bosque
"He has the best left foot since Messi" - Zidane
Way to Real Madrid :-
Started his career at the youth academy of RCD Mallorca, his hometown club. He made his senior debut in 2013-14 season in Tercera Division on 27th October 2013. By that time he was already being scouted by Real Madrid and Barcelona. After impressing in first few matches for Mallorca's B-side , Asensio was promoted to senior team. He scored his first goal for senior team on 16th March 2014 and then scored 3 more first team goals within a month.
On 24 November 2014, Real Madrid reached an agreement in principle to sign Asensio. On 5 December the deal was officially announced, with the player signing a six-year deal for a €3.9 million fee and remaining with RCD Mallorca on loan until the end of the campaign.
Next season after completing pre-season with Real Madrid, he was loaned to Espanyol and then joined Real Madrid since the start of 2016/17 season.
Strengths as a player :-
Asensio is a prolific attacker, he has good attacking skills. Let's discuss about them.
As a winger he often cuts inside and try to take his opponents head on. He has good dribbling skills and pace. He use these skills to keep hold of the ball and don't lose possession very often.
Last season he's successful pass rate stands upto 89% and created 0.90 chances per game. He's great when it comes to aerial duels and his good height backs him up when it comes to aerial duels.
From above mentioned points it's clear that he is a great play maker. His passing and chance created stats are great.
Weaknesses as a player :-
Needs some improvement in decision making and aspect of the game. Sometimes he finds it difficult to where make a sprint or pass or sometimes looks confused in choosing between passing and shooting when near the box. Also his game is much more one-footed.
Overall game is good just some improvements can help him turn into one of the best wingers.
Can he be a great player in future and whom he can replace in coming years ? :-
With the quality of his play and the promise he has shown in his first season with Los Blancos, there is no doubt that lad is going to be a big thing in future.
In my opinion he can be the ideal replacement of Cristiano Ronaldo. Asensio is just 20 years old now. If he stays at Real Madrid, he will be around players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and under coach like Zinedine Zidane who himself was one of the greatest players of his generation. In this case his qualities and overall game will surely improve. And in future he can fill the big gap that Great Cristiano Ronaldo will leave in my opinion.
If everything goes upto expectations then this transfer can be the bargain of this century.
